Tyrells gourmet crisps boss Will Chase is planning to expand the brand into luxury vodka made from traditional potato varieties such as St Claires, Golden Wonder and Rosettas. Using a copper still, Herefordshire-based Chase will employ traditional artisan methods combined with the latest technology. He hopes to produce 3,500 bottles a week, selling for £31 each, and aims to compete with other luxury labels like Belvedere of Poland. The plan is to have the vodka available in gastropubs from April, as well as in luxury stores like Harrods and Fortnum & Mason. The Independent on Sunday 02/03/08 (Business) page 9
