Box Steam Brewery, the Wiltshire-based craft brewer, has appointed a former senior sales executive at Carlsberg UK as its new sales director.
David Southway, who has worked in the industry for 30 years, was sales director for Carlsberg UK in the south and south west for eight years. His other roles have included free trade business development executive at Allied Domecq Breweries.
Niall Thomas, general manager of Box Steam Brewery, said: “It is an exciting time to be joining Box Steam Brewery as we are making real headway with developing and promoting our brand in the UK drinks industry. We are delighted that David has joined our team and we feel that his wealth of knowledge and experience will really help us to capitalise on the growth within the real ale market and our potential within it. Southway said: “After eight successful years at Carlsberg I am delighted to be joining Box Steam Brewery at such an important time in the company’s development.
