Yum! Brands, the owner of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC, will look at rolling out the Little Sheep Group restaurant chain worldwide, if its pending $860m (£533.3m) acquisition of the China-based business is successful. Company executives at Yum! have put forward the possibility of building the Little Sheep, which operates more than 300 hot-pot restaurants, primarily in China, into a global brand. Micky Pant, president of Yum! Brands International, told The Economic Times of India: “Chinese food is popular all over the world. Outside the US there is not a chain of restaurants that does that well,” Chinese regulators are currently reviewing the purchase, which was announced in April.
