Andy Harrison, chief executive of Whitbread, has been awarded shares worth £896,854 under a new three-year incentive scheme, in addition to shares to the value of £492,594 as a bonus for the company’s recent strong performance.

Under the long-term incentive plan, which relates to performance across the three years to 29 February 2016, Harrison was given 35,474 shares at a price of £25.282 each. Meanwhile, 19,484 bonus shares were offered at £25.282 each.

Finance director Nicholas Cadbury was offered £574,989-worth of shares under the three-year incentive scheme, plus bonus shares worth £92,836. Chris Rogers, managing director of Costa, received incentive shares worth £630,862 (bonus: £378,295), and Paul Flaum, MD of Whitbread’s restaurants arm, received shares to the value of £369,977, and bonus shares worth £142,034.
