Westgate Oxford has confirmed more operators for its £440m development, which will open in October.

Comptoir Libanais’ Shawa brand; the street food deli-wrap concept, Rola Wala and fast casual Indian operator, Benito’s Hat, will all be opening in the centre.

They join Nando’s, The Breakfast Club, Sticks’n’Sushi, Pho, The Alchemist, Pizza Pilgrims, Cinnamon Kitchen, Polpo, Dirty Bones, Le Pain Quotidien and Pret.

The 800,000 sq. ft. site, a joint venture between Land Securities and The Crown Estate, will be anchored by a 140,000 sq. ft. John Lewis and will feature the city’s first public roof garden.

Naomi Howard, leasing director at Land Securities said: “Today marks a significant milestone in our journey to create one of the UK’s largest and most highly anticipated retail and leisure destinations to open this year. In exactly six months, we will open our doors to the public, bringing them a vibrant blend of luxury and high street retail stores to be explored, alongside some of the most exciting food and drink brands the region will have to offer. We are thrilled to announce today’s new signings – who will be joined by more new names in the coming weeks.”

Russell Norman, co-owner of Polpo, said: “Oxford is a wonderful city full of culture, beautiful architecture and history. We’re so lucky to have found such a central spot through Westgate Oxford, tucked amongst the historic castle and towering spires. We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome the city in for some good food, good wine, old-school hospitality and of course a Venetian Spritz or two.”
