Wagamama, the fast-casual noodle chain led by Steve Easterbrook, has secured a site at Fulham Broadway Shopping Centre as it continues its uk expanson drive. The chain has taken a first floor site at the scheme, with an opening scheduled for early September. The group has a number of new sites in its pipeline and recently secured a further two units for its opening programme in Southampton and Ealing Broadway. The chain recently launched its first bar within a restaurant at its site in Leamington Spa. It is understood that the site, which became the brand’s 81st, is already in the group’s top five performers in the UK. The group is also believed to have secured sites in the O2 centre in Finchley, Dorchester, MediaCity in Salford,York and at the Southside shopping centre development in London’s Wandsworth. Property consultant Cushman & Wakefield has been retained to aid the expansion, with plans to open 20 sites per year.
