Wagamama and YO! Sushi have been confirmed as the latest operators to sign up to the Whiteley Shopping scheme in Hampshire, completing the pipeline for “phase one” of the development.

Wagamama is currently on-site fitting out its unit ahead of a pre-Christmas opening while YO! Sushi will open next Spring, They will join Dean’s Diner, Harvester, Frankie & Bennie’s, Prezzo and Chimichanga at the 320,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme. DCL secured the new lettings on behalf of the JV ownership, British Land and USS.

The agent said it’s currently working on letting phase two of the scheme ahead of its completion in May 2015. This will include a multi-screen cinema along with five restaurant units, four of which are already under offer.

Alice Keown, associate director at DCL, said: “Whiteley Shopping continues to go from strength-to-strength. YO! Sushi and Wagamama are fantastic brands which complement perfectly the other restaurants already trading successfully at the scheme.

“Phase two is proving to be incredibly popular and to have already got four of the units under offer shows the how much restaurant operators want to be part of the scheme. We hope to be able to announce more exciting names shortly.”
