Vapiano - the fast casual dining concept from Germany – is to open three new restaurants in the US
It has signed a multiunit development deal with Blake Kolo to open at locations to the Detroit and Atlanta.
Vapiano already has four US restaurants in Washington, D.C., and Ft. Myers, Fla., along with more than 30 restaurants worldwide.
Kolo and his partners expect to open the first restaurant within the next eight to 10 months in the Detroit metro area.
Vapiano plans to open more than 80 new restaurants in the next four to eight years, expanding its presence in North America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Its first British site opened in Regent Street on June 4 and it has a plans to open 24 more.
Currently, Vapiano International operates nearly 35 restaurants in nine countries and expects to open 20 new locations by the end of 2008.
In the United States alone, the company has completed franchise contracts for six stores in Southwest Florida, 10 in Dallas and three in Boston.
