Turtle Bay, the Piper-backed Caribbean chain, is set to open in Croydon, as its looks to further strengthen its openings pipeline.

According to the Croydon Advertiser, the 33-strong group, which recently opened in Exeter, has submitted a licensing application to Croydon Council hoping to open a restaurant on the former Tiger Tiger site in the town before the end of the year.

The group recently strengthened its head office team with the appointment of Caroline Goddard, formerly HR director at Leidos, the international information technology and services company, as its new people director.

MCA understands that the company, which is working on securing sites in Blackburn, Sheffield and Winchester, is also currently recruiting for a managing director to further lead its growth and an eventual sales process.
