Turtle Bay, the six-strong Caribbean restaurant chain led by Aj Jaya-Wickrema, has secured its seventh site, in Bath, for an opening next year.

The Piper Private Equity-backed group has secured a c5,000sq ft unit at 11 Bridge Street in the city and is close to securing further units in Birmingham city centre and Cardiff as part of plans to open five new units during 2014.

The company, in which Piper has made a £6m investment, recently secured a sixth site in Leamington Spa.

It plans to open a further 20 outlets over the next three to five years.
