Tonda Pizza, the Italian fast casual concept, is set to make its UK debut and is believed to be close to securing its first site in London.

The group, which is operates four sites in Italy, is believed to be in advanced talks on a site in Islington and plans further openings in the UK.

It is looking at locations such as Shoreditch, Soho, Waterloo and Holborn for further openings.

The company, which is led by Riccardo Ciferni, specialises in six-inch pizzas “served in an upscale dining ambience”.

The group has retained Cedar Dean Gilmarc to find A3 sites that are 650-1,400sq ft near student accommodation and offices.

It is thought that the company is also looking to open in further European countries.
