Clapham House Group, the casual dining group, has sold the leasehold interest of its Real Greek restaurant in Putney for an undisclosed sum. The two-floor site on Putney High Street has been acquired by Preto, the Brazilian steakhouse operator based in Pimlico, and becomes the company’s second restaurant. Preto has taken an assignment of the existing leasehold interest, expiring in 2021, at a passing rent of £130,000 per annum. Shelley Sandzer handled the disposal of the outlet. The disposal of the Putney restaurant leaves Clapham House Group with six sites in Bankside, Covent Garden, Hoxton, Marylebone, Spitalfields and Westfield. Last year, David Page, executive chairman of Clapham House Group, said he thought the company would not run the brand in the long-term. He told The Times: "We haven’t got a timetable. But will we still own it in two years’ time? I’d say that was unlikely.”
