The Ivy Collection, the fast-growing, Richard Caring-backed group, is set to further strengthen its opening pipeline in the north, with a site lined up in York.
The company, which recently submitted plans for an opening in Harrogate, has also applied for a licence to City of York Council for 2 St Helen’s Square, a property currently occupied by outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Blacks,
The nine-strong Ivy Collection, which will make its debut in the City this June and recently open a Ivy Café in Richmond, is aiming to open a restaurant at 7-9 Parliament Street, Harrogate in November.
It comes as part of a significant year of expansion for the group, which has also lined up a site at The Field, a new ‘urban oasis’ being created by developer Allied London in Hardman Square, in the Spinningfields area of Manchester.
It has already secured sites in Cobham, Marlow Guildford, One Tower Bridge and Bath for openings this year.
The company will open the Ivy Cobham Brasserie and the Ivy Marlow Garden this spring.
It currently operates five Brasseries & Grills and four Cafes.
