Whitbread is rumoured to be close to sealing a £70m disposal of TGI Friday’s to Carlson Companies and ABN Amro Capital.
The leisure group has been persistently touted as the first leisure operator to pursue real estate investment trust status.
The shares fell 2p to £16.72 despite the talk.
