Telepizza, the Spanish delivery chain, has secured its second franchisee for London and the South East, MCA understands.

The company, which is the largest non-US-based pizza delivery company in the world by number of stores, has signed a master franchisee agreement with the Niya Group, with plans to open 10 new sites in the next five years.

The brand currently operates two sites in the UK in Hounslow and Surbiton.

The Spanish group is understood to be working with three regional franchisees in the UK, the largest being Karali Ventures, which is one of the largest Burger King operators in the UK, and has an agreement to open 80 stores over the next 10 years.

Telepizza plans to open a minimum of 300 stores, with 20-30 franchisees, that will develop 30 regional markets around the UK within the next ten years.

Approximately 35% of Telepizza stores worldwide are owned and operated by Telepizza, while around 65% are owned by franchises and master franchises.
