The team behind restaurants Quality Chop House, Portland and Clipstone, are to open a new restaurant inspired by Italian cuisine called Emilia.

It will open in Mayfair later this month at 7 Haunch of Venison Yard, in the space vacated by Bonhams Restaurant.

Emilia will be split over two floors, comprising a ground floor café and wine bar, with courtyard seating and an upstairs restaurant, serving dishes such as smoked eel tortellini and roast haunch of venison with beetroot risotto.

The food will come from Stuart Andrew, current executive chef at Portland and Clipstone, with the food inspired by the Emilia Romagna region of Italy.
