Tasty, the restaurant group led by Jonny Plant, has secured a former pub site in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, for conversion to its Wildwood pizza and pasta concept. The group, which also operates the Dim T chain, has secured the former Talbot Inn, in Harborough high street The company has secured a 20-year lease at a commencing rent of £65,000 per annum on Grade II-listed building. Working converting the site has started and the restaurant is set to open early next year. Tasty currently operates nine sites across the South East under the Wildwood brand, and the Leicestershire site will become its most northerly opening so far. It has also exchanged on a site in Epping, Essex and is thought to be close to agreeing a deal for a site in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Last month it agreed to acquire two Café Pasta-branded units from Relish Restaurants for a total consideration of £640,000. The group agreed to acquire the two leasehold properties in Stratford-upon-Avon and in London’s Shaftesbury Avenue. Both will eventually be converted to the Wildwood brand. The group, which also operates six Dim T restaurants, is looking to open between six to eight sites under the over the next six months.
