Tasty, the listed operator of the Wildwood chain of restaurants, is considering returning to the acquisitions trail in regards to its Dim T brand, M&C Report understands.

The group, which recently raised £2.5m of new equity, has recently started a refurbishment program of its six Dim T sites, starting with its More London unit, as it looks to generate trade all through the day.

Joint chief executive Jonny Plant told M&C Report that once the upgrade program was finished the company had plans to “dip its toe in the water” in regards to finding new sites for the brand it launched nearly 10 years ago.

He said: “The six sites under the brand have been trading very well, but we felt it was time they needed a refresh and were more positioned to attract trade across a longer part of the day. Once that process is complete we have had conversations about looking for further sites. We have a few ideas on where we would like to take the brand.”

The group recent focus has been on the expansion of core brand Wildwood and variant concept Wildwood Kitchen.

It recently completed on a site in Oakham and has exchanged on its first site in the south west in Bristol.

The company plans to open up to 15 new sites under Wildwood brands in 2014.
