The Taillevent Group, operator of the famous eponymous Paris-based restaurant, is set to launch in the UK, M&C Report understands.

The group has applied to open a restaurant at 16 Cavendish Square, London, under its new Les 110 de Taillevent format, which focuses on wine pairings.

Taillevent was set up in 1946 by André Vrinat, gaining its first Michelin star in 1948, its second in 1954 and its third in 1973 under chef Claude Deligne.

It has assigned PSR Properties to find c3,000-6,000sq ft sites in target locations in Mayfair, Marylebone, St James and Covent Garden

The company opened  its second restaurant (formerly L’Angle du Faubourg) and first under the Les 110 de Taillevent format last year.
