Clapham House Group, the Aim-listed restaurant operator of Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), Bombay Bicycle Club, The Real Greek and Tootsies, has appointed David Sykes to its board.
Sykes, currently managing director of GBK and a former operations director at Pizza Express, will join executive chairman David Page and Paul Campbell at the helm of the company.
Campbell said the promotion reflected Sykes' contribution to the development and rollout of GBK, and the overall success of the group.
Sykes, 46, recently told M&C Report there was scoped for up to 150 GBK outlets in the UK.
Clapham House currently operates 75 restaurants across its four brands.
It will open its 25th GBK restaurant in the UK later this week on London's Portobello Road. The third GBK in the Middle East - operated through a franchise agreement - opened in February in Dubai.
