Travel concessions specialist SSP has secured a first site to open a new casual dining restaurant in partnership with TV chef Gino D’Campo to open in the autumn.

M&C Report understands it will open in a site at Euston Station in a redeveloped food and beverage space alongside Leon and the Duke of Grafton pub from Greene King - which will be based upon its Metropolitan Pub Company format.

It is understood there have been delays with commencing work on the site because of construction issues with Network Rail.

Last month Kate Swann, chief executive of SSP, said the group was working with D’Campo to develop an entirely new concept and is keen to work with other high-profile chefs following the success of its site with James Martin at Stansted Airport and winning a contract with Jamie Oliver.

D’Campo is also involved in a small chain of casual restaurants called My Pasta Bar, which currently operates three London sites and at Intu Lakeside.
