A meal kit entrepreneur and author is launching an LA-inspired healthy eating concept in Manchester’s Spinningfields.
The FoodWell will take a 9,000sq ft site next to Menagerie on the New Bailey site, and will be split into several sections, including a deli, restaurant, coffee bar, cocktail bar, workshop and yoga space.
The deli will serve click and collect lunches (supported by an app), the restaurant will have space for 150 covers, and the space will host regular workshops and community events.
During the week, it aims to have a similar feel to Soho House, attracting young professionals, while at weekends, laptops will be banned to create more of a community hub.
Christian Coates, founder of the FoodWell, as well as healthy meal delivery business Soulmatefood, is behind the concept, which aims to encourage dwell time and a work/life balance.
Coffee comes from London Grind, their first offering outside of the capital, who will also be providing the coffee for espresso martinis.
