Smokey Tails, the ‘Beats & Eats’ pop-up created by DJ Seth Troxler, Wilderness festival co- founder Jo Vidler and flavour technician Jona Ahearne will be taking up its first permanent residence, at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen from 22 April 2016.

The concept is landing back in London after a series of residencies in Melbourne, Sydney, Miami and Amsterdam.

The new 64-cover Smokey Tails restaurant will offer lazy lunch and Midwest weekend brunch options, with a snack menu of ‘hand to mouth’ food served throughout the adjoining bar area of Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen.

The dinner menu expands upon the pop-ups formula of dirty, delicious, finger-licking food that delves into Seth’s three generation old family recipe book, drawing on authentic Midwestern cuisine, and creating a new world of fresh feeling delicacies inspired by years journeying to far reaching corners of the globe.

Expect a menu featuring dishes such as: Spicy Sofrito Smoked Pork, Pineapple Salsa; Apple Wood Smoked Buffalo Chicken Wings; Honey Chicken Biscuit Sliders and Cherry Woodsmoked Lamb Ribs.

Troxler said: “Music and food for me go hand in hand, they warm body and sooth the soul. With Smokey Tails I wanted to give people the same food that fed my soul through my childhood. We really wanted a place that I could enjoy the food and sprit of my home and recipes of my family.”
