Martin Shuker, managing director of KFC Western Europe, has announced his decision to retire after nearly three years in the role.

Due to step down in mid-February, Shuker will be replaced by Oleg Pisklov, the current managing director for Russia/CIS/CEE.

Shuker was previously KFC UK & Ireland general manager for 13 years, during which time the brand grew from 600 to 900 restaurants and was listed Britain’s top employer three years in a row.

“Martin leaves an impressive legacy as a passionate and loyal KFC leader,” said Tony Lowings, KFC global CEO.

“He oversaw a brand transformation during his time leading our KFC UK&I and Western Europe businesses, as well as extensive sales growth. Martin will be dearly missed and I congratulate Martin on his well-earned, upcoming retirement.”
