Scott Collins, co-founder of MeatLiquor, and Vinoteca were amongst the winners at this year’s wine & spirit awards from M&C Report’s sister title Harpers.

Collins won the Best On-trade Personality of the Year award ahead of Richard Bigg at Camino and Brett Woonton and Charlie Young at Vinoteca, which was collected the Best Drinks Offer in a Group/Chain award ahead of Byron and Burger & Lobster.

The Harwood Arms in Fulham collected the Best Drinks Offer in a Pub award ahead of Craft Beer Co and New World Trading Company.

The Chiltern Firehouse won Best Launch of the Year, ahead of Merchants Taverns..

Over 250 leading figures from across the UK drinks industry including bars, restaurants, sommeliers, multiple grocers, specialist drinks websites, independent wine merchants, suppliers and brand owners all come together for what was the third Harpers Awards.

The night saw Miles Beale, chief executive of the Wine & Spirits Trade Association, honoured with the Harpers Special Achievement Award for the leadership he showed in driving the Call Time on Duty campaign which succeeded in the duty escalator being scrapped in the 2014 Budget.
