Scarpetta, the Italian pasta and espresso coffee concept, is opening a fourth site in BBC Television Centre, MCA has learnt.

The brand, which launched its second site in Canary Wharf in the summer, and has a second City lined up in Bishopsgate, is set to open at the White City development in Q2 2018.

Founders Uberto Jasson D’Oria and Patrick Philion have previously told MCA they would look to get to 10 sites “fairly quickly”, with several more sites likely to be in the City.

Philion said: “We’re ready to roll out. We’re very ambitious.

“We know we have a great concept on our hands. After Canary Wharf opening new sites will be a piece of cake.”

The venture is self-funded by the partners, but they said they could look to private equity investment at the five or six site mark, to assist with infrastructure and scaling up operations.
