The Restaurant Group (TRG) has instructed Savills to sell 23 of its former restaurants in England, Scotland and Wales.
The majority of the sites were part of the 33-strong package that TRG placed on the market through Fleurets and Savills last year.
The units, which are no longer trading, include a mix of former Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito, Joe’s Kitchen, Coast to Coast, Garfunkel’s and Filling Station restaurants in locations including retail and leisure parks, shopping centres and roadsides.
They are being sold with existing planning and licensing consents meaning they could be reoccupied quickly.
Savills has also been retained to acquire new sites for TRG across the Midlands, East Anglia, the South of England and Wales.
David Bell, head of UK leisure at Savills, said: “We are pleased to be marketing this high profile portfolio on behalf of TRG. Due to the mix of locations and diverse nature of the restaurants involved, we are anticipating strong interest from a wide variety of existing retail and leisure operators as well as new entrants.”
Earlier this week, TRG reported that its like-for-like sales fell 5.9% in Q4 and warned that the first half of 2017 is likely to “remain difficult”.
The group revealed like-for-like sales in the 53 weeks to 1 January were down 3.9%. Total turnover increased 3.7% - 0.9% on a 53-week vs 53-week basis - £710.1m.
During the period the group closed 37 sites and opened 24.
