Mark Sargeant, Gordon Ramsay’s former right hand man and ex-head chef of Claridge’s, is to open a restaurant with rooms in his Kent heartland, MCA understands.
The Wife of Bath restaurant in Wye, near Ashford, will open next month complete with a handful of en-suite rooms and a northern Spanish inspired menu.
Sargeant already operates Rocksalt restaurant and bar and the Smokehouse restaurant in Folkestone as well as
Sargeant previously worked as sous chef at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London before going on to open a string of restaurants including Morden & Lea in London.
Last year he stated his aim to operate up to 15 pubs across Kent.
