Restaurant and bar group GSG Hospitality, previously Graffiti Spirits Group, has secured a site for its second Salt Dogs Slims concept.

The new restaurant, located near Manchester’s Northern Quarter and Spinningfields, will be the brand’s first move into the city following its debut site in Liverpool in 2012.

Set to open in early 2021, the restaurant will have an ‘appointment only’ underground bar that will require a secret code, as in its Liverpool site, and will serve American style chilli dogs alongside an extensive beer and cocktail selection.

“We’ve been considering expansion into other northern cities for a while now and we’ve finally found a venue that is perfect for us and the concept it will be home to,” said GSG Hospitality co-founder Matt Farrell. “Salt Dog Slims is a much-loved bar for its music, drinks and unique atmosphere, and we’re looking forward to bringing it to Manchester.”

“The new venue is in the centre of the city’s buzzing nightlife,” added co-founder John Ennis. “We can’t wait to open in early 2021 and introduce Salt Dogs and our new underground, exclusive speakeasy to Manchester and beyond.”

The Liverpool-based group also operates venues Duke Street Food and Drink Market, Bold Street Coffee, Maluco, Slim’s on Bold Street, Santa Chupitos, Super Megabite and 81 Ltd.
