Rudy’s Pizzeria, the Mission Mars concept, will make its London debut after acquiring the former Wahaca site on Soho’s Wardour Street.

Founded in 2015 in Ancoats, Rudy’s has pizzerias in Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.

In the North West the concept is the leading Neapolitan-style, wood-fired pizza concept, though in London it will face stronger competition, with Pizza Pilgrims and Franco Manca both located nearby in Soho.

Like the existing sites, Rudy’s Soho will focus on classic pizzas such as marinara, margherita and calabrese, using traditional methods and imported ingredients.

As well as Soho, Rudy’s is opening another site in Stockton Heath, Cheshire.

Parent company Mission Mars, which is led by Revolution Bar Group founders Neil Macleod and Roy Ellis, recently launched a beer garden and street food market Zumhof, in Birmingham, which sits alongside its Albert’s Schloss and Albert’s Schenke venues.
