Rocksteady Restaurants is launching a Jamaican jerk restaurant called Rudie’s in Dalston, east London, in September.
The restaurant will include a rum bar to accompany the menu of Jamaican-inspired small plates including signature jerk dishes, patties and seafood.
Co-founder Matin Miah said: “Our primary focus is the food at Rudie’s, we’ve spent a lot of time researching and travelling to find the best Jamaican ingredients and methods of cooking out there and we can’t wait to share them with our customers. The atmosphere at Rudie’s will be cool, funky, casual and fun with a huge smiling persona - we want to bring a great big slice of Jamaica and the best “real jerk” to the streets of London.”
The 60-cover restaurant will pair rum cocktails with the contemporary street food.
