Simon Rowe, the former finance director of Be At One and Paramount Restaurants, has been stepped down as interim chief executive of Park Chinois, the Alan Yau-inspired, high-end Chinese restaurant and bar venue in Mayfair.

Rowe - the former group financial officer at Paramount Restaurants, who has also had stints at Be At One, Hakkasan and 5 Hertford Street, Robin Birley’s private members’ club, remains a non-executive director of the business, which is now being overseen on a day by day basis by recently appointed director of operations Jean-Baptiste Requien

It is understood that Rowe’s appointment as chief executive was always set to be short term as he carried out a quick restructuring of the business, which is based in Berkley Street and believed to have been built and opened at a cost of c£30m.

Requien joined the company last month after a brief stint at the Big Easy as an operations director.

He previously had stints at Gordon Ramsay Holdings and D&D London.
