Roosters Peri Peri, the chicken-led fast-casual and takeaway concept, has secured its first site in the Republic of Ireland and a further four in London as it exits two UK stores, M&C Report has learnt.

The c40-strong group, which last month opened its second site in Southampton, in London Road, has secured a unit at Douglas in Cork for an opening at a later date.

Other London units are set to open in Shepherd’s Bush, Walthamstow, Willesden, Wood Green.

The company said that its sites in Bedford and Rayners Lane, north London, have stopped trading due to “operational issues and unforeseen circumstances”.

Roosters Piri Piri has partnered with Lambert Smith Hampton for its expansion plans.

The company is looking for A3 and A5 sites in major cities and towns throughout the UK. Ideally properties will be approximately 1,000sq ft upwards on the ground floor with associated ancillary space.
