Romulo Café, a Philippine-inspired restaurant concept, is to make its debut in the UK, after securing a site in Kensington High Street, M&C understands.

The concept, which operates a site in Manila, is being brought to the UK by Rowena Romulo, a former managing director at JP Morgan in London and her partner Chris Joseph, former chief operating officer at Dinein.

The company has secured the former Accuiga site for its first opening in London.

The new restaurant will offer four discrete dining areas: the General’s Bar, the Ambassador’s Lounge, the Diplomat’s Dining Room and a space for private dining or parties.

The company is looking at expanding across central London with units up to 2,000sq ft under consideration.
