Rodizio Preto, the London-based Brazilian steakhouse operator, has opened its seventh site after acquiring the Chimichanga restaurant in Enfield.

The group, which is led by Dean Knight, recently opened on the former Café Rouge site in Colchester and has further openings lined up in the former Baxter Gate hospital site in Loughborough; and at the McLaren Life development in Carlton Street, Weston-super-Mare.

It is also in talks on a site in Bromley and a further location in Surrey.

Last year, the group launched Hardcore Lobsters & More on its Wilton Road site in London’s Victoria, offering lobster for £20 and burgers ranging in price from £12.95 to £19.95 for its “hardcore burger”

It is thought that Knight is now looking to expand the new concept further.

The company, which specialises in roasted meat buffets, currently operates four Preto sites in London, plus a unit in Croydon.

It disposed of its Brighton site earlier this year.
