Australian casual dining chain, Ribs & Burgers, is to open its first UK site next month, MCA understands.

The group, which has 18 branches in Australia, has secured a former Indian restaurant site in Broad Street, Teddington.

The September opening comes as the brand puts increasing focus on international expansion, with an imminent opening in Pretoria in South Africa and another planned for Dubai. The first international Ribs & Burgers opened in Las Vegas last year.

The food offer is based around eight-hour slow-cooked ribs and grass fed, hormone free, 100% pure beef patties and free range chicken breasts.

The company describes its offer as: “A meal at Ribs & Burgers is like stepping back in time, to a restaurant started by your local butcher who decided to put their cooking advice into practice.”
