Red Lobster, the US-based seafood casual dining restaurant chain, has revealed plans to remodel 700 restaurants.

The group said it would be rolling out a new restaurant style that was “reminiscent of the seaside village of Bar Harbor, Maine”, following a successful trial.

Red Lobster is introducing new lunch and dinner menu items, inspired by the flavors of America, that range in price from $8.99 to $18.50.

It said that 33% of its restaurants would be remodeled by June 2011, with the goal of all Red Lobster restaurants being converted by 2014.
