The Rare Cow chain of steak restaurants is relaunching tomorrow after a £335,000 investment from entrepreneur Alfie Best.

After the group’s takeover by Best was recently completed all of its three restaurants have undergone a refit and update ready for a fresh launch on Monday.

The company has also secured a fourth restaurant on the River Stour in Sudbury, Suffolk.

Best said: “We are serving some of the finest steaks in the UK and I’m delighted to say that business is booming.”

The group’s restaurants in Billericay and Writtle are undergoing a rolling refurbishment programme and have already been redecorated with new furniture ordered for Writtle and work due to start shortly on enlarging the car park. It acquired a site in Waltham Abbey earlier this summer.

Best said: ”We are having to take on new staff to cope with the demand which is a good sign. Since we launched our new restaurant in Waltham Abbey, we have had nothing but great comments and encouragement so we must be doing something right!”
