Gordon Ramsay is believed to have secured the former Bennett’s Brasserie and Oyster Bar site in Battersea Square for his next restaurant venture, M&C Report has learnt.

The site is held on a Mitchells & Butlers lease and was formerly an All Bar One site. The site consists of three units that have been amalgamated.

Details on the style of the restaurant have yet to be disclosed.

The high-profile chef is set to open his new “informal” restaurant Union Street Café near Borough Market in September.

The site, which is being backed by David Beckham, will have “a real focus on the most amazing produce, cooked in a simple Mediterranean style in a relaxed setting”, according to Ramsay.

Robert Foux at Wimpole Property Consultants handled the Battersea deal.
