Radio Alice, the Azzurri Group-backed, fast-casual pizza concept, is to open its second restaurant after securing a site in Clapham, MCA understands.
The concept, which is the brainchild of brothers Salvatore and Matteo Aloe, who operate the five-strong, critically acclaimed Berbere pizzeria concept in Italy, is believed to have secured the former Gastro unit in Venn Street for an opening later this summer.
The company opened its first site in Hoxton Square last December.
Azzurri and the Aloe brothers joined forces with Emma King, co-founder of Gail’s Bakery, to launch the new venture.
The concept’s name derives from a pirate radio station that was set up in Bologna in the 1970s and “gave a voice to whoever wanted to be heard”.
Shelley Sandzer is believed to have acted on the Venn Street deal.
