Kieron Pollock, former chief financial officer at Las Iguanas, the Casual Dining Group (CDG) brand, has become chief operating officer at Riviera Travel, the European & Worldwide tours and river cruises operator.

Pollock stepped down from Las Iguanas after eight years with the company in June. Alongside the brand’s finance team, he also had responsibility for the marketing, training and menu development functions.

His departure led to a restructuring of the brand’s senior management team, with the appointment of Stephen Neudegg as its new finance director and Gareth Lock, formerly of Spirit Pub Company and Whitbread, as its new chief operating officer.

The company said that given the current size of the business and an expansion programme that will see it launch c20 new venues per year for the next two years, it had elected to search for both a chief operating officer and finance director. Both positions report into managing director Mos Shamel.
