Pizza Time, the Hampshire take-away pizza company, has signed its first franchisees with plans to open ten franchise stores this year, M&C Report has learnt.

The first franchise stores will open in Kidderminster, Hull and Cardiff this summer; with Dudley, Swindon and Bristol to follow to create a cluster of stores across the Midlands.

“We have a strong pipeline of interest in that area,” Jonathan Seale, equity partner, told M&C Report; he added the pizza company has been “taken aback” with the response to franchisee recruitment since the company opened up for applications in December.

The comparatively low capital investment for franchisees has led to interest in multiple stores: “Most people are interested in several units because of the relatively low capital – they could have three Pizza Times for the cost of one store of a larger chain,” Seale said.

“This is an attractive sector for second or third time business owners who are looking to add to their business portfolio.”

There are two corporate Pizza Time stores in Alton and Boreham, Hampshire.
