Pilau, the Indian street wrap concept led by George Pitkeathley and Ollie Norman, is looking to expand further across the capital, after securing its first bricks and mortar site in Soho.

The concept, which has previously operated pop-ups in Old Street, Leicester Square and Shoreditch, has taken a short term lease at a site on the corner of Walkers Court and Peter Street.

It has also retained advisors Lewis Craig to help it find further sites across central London.

It is looking for sites of between 800sq ft to 1,600sq ft, with either A1 or A3 capability, in areas such as Chelsea, Marylebone and Covent Garden.

Earlier this year, the concept opened the first pop-up restaurant in a West End tube station.

Pitkeathley used to work at Quo Vadis & Holborn Dining Room and Norman, who is the son of Polpo co-founder Russell used to work for the Polpo Group.
