Petersham Nurseries – the Surrey-based homeware and garden store, whose restaurant once held a Michelin star – has revealed details of its upcoming opening in London’s Covent Garden.

As revealed last May, the business will occupy four units in the new Kings Court development in Covent Garden, which is due to be completed this year after signing a prelet with developer Capital & Counties (Capco)

It will occupy over 16,000sq ft creating new bespoke retail and dining concepts across the four units.

Petersham Nurseries has now revealed it will launch a ‘lifestyle destination’ at the space complete with a home and garden shop, delicatessen with a wine cellar and florist, and the two restaurants.

The Floral Court development, which will take over a central courtyard area with access from King Street and Floral Street, will launch in two phases.

The Potting Bench shop, delicatessen, florist and wine cellar is to open in June, while the two restaurants, The Petersham and La Goccia, will follow in September.

In a statement announcing the launch the company said it was hoping to celebrate ‘nature, seasonal ingredients and slow living’ in Covent Garden.
