Patty & Bun has secured its first site outside the capital with an opening due in Brighton, MCA understands.

The Joe Grossman-led group is believed to have taken on the former Piccolo Italian restaurant site, on the corner of Meeting House Lane and Ship Street in the city.

It currently operates eight sites in London plus a permanent residency at Swingers LDN.

The group is also set to open at the former BBC headquarters in Shepherd’s Bush later this year.

Its most recent opening was the ex-Book & Comic Exchange site in Pembridge Road near Notting Hill Gate station.

Last summer, it secured £2m in growth funding. New World Private Equity, which is led by Nigel Berger, led the growth funding round for the concept to aid its next stage of growth.

Shelley Sandzer acted on the deal.
