The team behind the London-based The Palomar and The Barbary restaurants are set to open a further site in Soho, MCA has learnt.

Siblings Layo and Zoë Paskin are understood to have agreed to take on the Blue Post pub in Rupert Street, which is a couple of doors down from The Palomar, for an unnamed new project.

The pair are too launch an English coffee house concept, Jacob the Angel, in Seven Dials, next week.

Next to The Barbary, Jacob the Angel will serve breakfast, lunch and tea every day.

While the offer will largely be takeaway there will also be seating for ten covers inside and a small outdoor area that will seat three.

The menu will include freshly baked cakes, pastries and pies, sandwiches and seasonal salads, updated daily.

AG&G and DCL have been jointly marketing the Blue Post.
