A raft of leading and fledgling operators have made the shortlist for this year’s Restaurant and Bar Design Awards.
Among the 190 concepts nominated, ASK, Chimichanga, Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), Las Iguanas, and Prezzo make the category for multiple restaurant.
GBK receives two nominations for its Brighton and Bath sites, while Dishoom, Sushisamba and Tramshed are named in the best London restaurant category.
Apostrophe, Caravan, Graze, Leon, Jamie’s Italian and SSP’s The Merchant of Bishopsgate are all name checked in the best restaurant or bar in a transport space list.
ASK is nominated in the award for restaurant or bar in another space, while Nando’s and GBK are each named in the restaurant or bar in a retail space section.
The fast casual section includes Gail’s Bakery and Nando’s, with Hall & Woodhouse featured in the best pub category
A total of 670 entries were made for the awards this year, from 60 countries as well as the UK. The winners will be named on 12 September.
