Indo-Chinese concept Oodles is seeking franchise partners to further build its presence in the South and Southwest of England.

The c40-strong QSR chain has sites across the country, including in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, and is soon to open its next site in Portsmouth as well as its first overseas location in Dubai.

Oodles is also accelerating expansion in Scotland after making its Scottish debut in Aberdeen last year.

Speaking to MCA in October 2023, operations director Simon Robinson said Oodles will continue to target openings across the country, leveraging its unique offering in the QSR market.

At the time, the franchise business had 2 sites confirmed in various stages of development and just over 50 prospective franchisees in the process of looking for sites.

The brand is “fortunate” in continuing to see “strong sales” across the network, says Robinson, and he remains optimistic that its approach is working, while some competitors are experiencing sales erosion.

Oodles specialises in ‘build your own’ boxes, which allow customers to choose from rice or noodle bases and customise their sauces, protein, and veg toppings.

In a LinkedIn post, the brand said: “Our Portsmouth store buildout is in full swing, and we’re thrilled to announce that it’ll soon be opening its doors to the vibrant Portsmouth community. As our furthest venture in the South, we can’t wait to bring our exceptional products and services even closer to you!

“While we’re proud of our widespread presence across England with branches in various regions, including the bustling cities of London, Manchester, and Birmingham, we still have many territories left that are untapped, especially in the South and SouthWest of England. We’re dedicated to serving communities all over the UK, and are actively seeking franchise partners to expand our reach to ensure that everyone has access to our exceptional offerings.”
