Ole & Steen is due to open a 10th London site, in Belgravia, as part of mixed-use development Eccleston Yards, MCA has learnt.

The Danish café and bakery is due to open on the ground floor of 31 Eccleston Place – on the corner with Eccleston Street, in late spring. It will open early for breakfast and trade all day and into the evening, as per its other sites.

Launched in 2018, Eccleston Yards is a new hub for independent businesses, entrepreneurs and creatives, from Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, located on the border of Belgravia and Victoria. It centres around a public square with 19 units dedicated to food, retail, co-working and wellbeing brands.

Ole & Steen will join the likes of The Jones Family Kitchen, Tart London’s debut restaurant, café and events space Wild by Tart at the development.

It will be the Ole & Steen’s fifth site in Westminster, including one at nearby Nova Victoria.

Natasha Wilmans, director of operations, Ole & Steen, commented: “We are very excited to open our latest Ole & Steen in Eccleston Yards. We hope our bakery will provide a tranquil oasis from the hustle and bustle of Victoria life for commuters, tourists and locals alike.”

Paul O’Grady, director – South Belgravia, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, added: “We are delighted to welcome the hugely popular Ole & Steen, which rounds out our dining offer at Eccleston Yards.

“The bakery’s prominent location on Eccleston Place will provide an animated gateway from Eccleston Street to this new and exciting destination in Belgravia. The arrival of Ole & Steen strengthens Belgravia’s diverse shopping and dining scene, providing a new amenity for locals, workers and visitors.”
