Nose Ltd, the restaurant group led by Ged Lynch, is to focus on the rollout of its US/Australian-themed bar and cafe concept called Mud Crab over its Felicini brand, after converting a fourth site to the new fledgling format.

The group, which trialled the format on the site of its former eponymous unit in Sheffield last summer, has now fully converted its Grinch site in Manchester city centre and the Felicini unit in West Bridgford to the brand.

At the start of the year it converted its restaurant in Didsbury to the new brand and is thought to be looking at further opportunities for the brand.

It is thought that Felicini underwent a restructure last year and that added to the initial success of Mud Crab has seen the group switch its attention to the new format.

Felicini, which was founded in 2003 by Lynch and Neil Lawrence, currently operates two sites under its eponymous brand in Bakewell and Manchester.

The group made its first move into the pub sector with the opening of the Pointing Dog gastropub in Cheshire in 2011.
